  • Slay's Happy Place was created because healing is an everyday journey, and as we know, two are stronger than one. Healing energy is stronger when a community heals together.
  • Two souls are unified in harmoniously rising energy when they partake in the journey of healing together.
  • Family is the backbone of human civilization, and family is between two human beings, whether they are related or not.
  • Community forms when people come together in love and consideration and caring attention.
  • When that happens, people are happier, they live longer, they live more successful lives.
  • So, what I wanted to do with The Happy Feet Gallery is create a place where souls could feel safe and warm and comforted and welcomed.
  • A little spot on this ol' Earth where we can come together and share our humanity and our difficult days and our worries and fears and stress and anxieties, and just leave it all out the front door and forget the world for two hours straight.
  • Who could ask for more? ikr It's like...almost heaven! But not quite.
  • It's actually on Route 60 in Huntington, WV, USA at 4046 U.S. Route 60 to be exact.
  • You'll find Slay's Happy Place nestled there to the side of a car wash in a blue and white building with blue and purple lights at night. It's a continuing work in progress. I hope you'll join the journey! Good things work together for those who believe.
  • The sign looks like a smiley face, kinda cryin'...because it rained on the sign before it was finished dryin'...ah, the Slay Notes I could give you about attempting to open a physical business during a Winter in Appalachia...but I digress, we'll save that for another day.

Jennifer also specializes in haircuts for kids. She's been cutting hair since she was fifteen years old and licensed to cut hair since 2005. She received a Managing Cosmetology Degree and License in the State of West Virginia, via the Huntington School of Beauty Culture and Charleston Board of Barbers and Cosmetologists. She's been officially cutting children's hair since 2003-2005 during her time in college. Jennifer is well-trained with exceptional skills in the haircutting process. She has keen abilities to cut a child's hair while keeping them contently entertained all the while. She provides a warm and safe, glow-in-the-dark atmosphere that any kid is sure to enjoy. She provides art supplies for them to create glow-in-the-dark art during their haircutting session. The entire session can take up to an hour, because patience with a steady hand is required for children's haircuts - but Jennifer ensures any kid will enjoy the process long enough to complete the session.
